My work begins in the space between stillness and movement, matter and the unseen. Through raw canvas, texture, charcoal, acrylic and traces of gold, I allow each painting to emerge layer by layer.
I am interested in presence — not as an idea, but as something that can become tangible.
Each work carries its own rhythm, density and silence. Rather than illustrating a predetermined concept, I let the painting reveal itself through the process.
The result is an object that lives in space, but also creates space: an invitation to pause, feel and return to oneself.
Philosophy
Matter as a language.
Texture is not decoration in my work.
It is where the invisible begins to take form.
My paintings emerge through stillness, inner listening and a sensitivity to what exists beneath words. Raw canvas, pigment, charcoal, transparent layers and gold become a language through which PRESENCE can enter matter.

Tamara Lović is a Croatian contemporary abstract artist based in Buzet, Istria. Her work explores the relationship between inner presence, material form and the unseen layers of human experience.
