ABOUT

Tamara Lović

I am a Croatian contemporary abstract artist based in Buzet, Istria.

My work grows from years of exploring presence, inner transformation and the unseen layers of human experience. Before painting became my primary language, I worked closely with people through intuitive, energetic and transformational processes.

Many know this earlier work through the language of the soul, presence and the architecture of the soul - the inner structure of being as it reveals itself through life, body and consciousness.

To explore this earlier layer of my work, you can visit it here: Architecture of the soul.

Today, that same depth continues through matter, texture, raw canvas, charcoal, acrylic and gold.

THE PRACTICE

Painting as a space
of presence.

Working intuitively with raw canvas, acrylic, charcoal, texture, transparent layers and traces of gold, I allow each painting to emerge gradually, layer by layer.

Rather than illustrating a predetermined idea, I listen to the rhythm, density and silence of the material.

Each work develops through a dialogue between movement and stillness, control and surrender, the visible and the unseen.

For me, a painting is not only an object that occupies space. It also creates space - an invitation to pause, feel and return to oneself.

Created between stone,
silence and sky.

I live and work in Buzet, a small hilltop town in Istria, Croatia. The stillness, rawness and layered history of the landscape quietly enter my practice - not as representation, but as atmosphere.
